Organic seedsOrganicXseeds

The OrganicXseeds online database is designed to help organic producers search for organic seeds, vegetative propagation material and seed potatoes. Organic certification bodies also use the website to authorize derogations, while seed companies can advertise their certified organic seed.

If you search the database and find the varieties that you need are not available, you must get permission from your certification body before purchasing non organic seed.

Go to www.organicXseeds.co.uk

OrganicXseeds is funded by Defra and managed by the Soil Association, working in partnership with the International Society of Organic Agriculture Research (FIBL) and NIAB.

The Centre for Organic Seed Information (COSI) provides a one stop shop for the organic movement on all things organic seed. COSI provides users with the opportunity to find:
  • Variety performance data in organic and non organic conditions
  • The centre is also used as a resource to disseminate research findings
  • COSI is also used to communicate any standards changes relating to organic seed and will include updates from the four seed working groups.
Go to www.cosi.org.uk

COSI is run by the Soil Association, HDRA and NIAB, and supported by Defra.
