The Growing Resilient Efficient and Thriving GREATsoils project aims to bring growers together to test how they can improve the health of their soils through assessing methods of soil testing, and via a programme of knowledge exchange.
GREATsoils is funded by AHDB Horticulture. The programme of work includes projects CP 107; CP 107b; CP 107c and CP 107d. From 2015 - 2018, the AHDB Horticulture project CP 107b Growing Efficient and thriving GREATsoils was run by a consortium which includes Earthcare Technical Ltd, The Organic Research Centre and The Soil Association.
Over those 3 years, the programme included a series of practical workshops along with a number of field trials and field labs. We saw 755 attendees at 56 live events for growers, farmers and advisors, demonstrating that growers are keen to improve soil health.
Take a look at these blogs, webinars, guides and videos to see how the growers got on and discover what they learned from the programme and, more importantly, each other.
