Work With Us
Be part of our growing good food movement
Are you passionate about transforming the way we eat, farm and care for the natural world? At the Soil Association you can put your passion to work.
Our organisation started in 1946 to pioneer a better world – one where we can all farm, eat and live healthily in balance with the environment. Our team of around 250 employees have been working with this vision for positive change ever since. We’re farming, growing, buying, cooking and eating. We’re campaigning, lobbying and certifying. We’re running research programmes that pave the way for change. And we’re inspiring millions of people to take their own step towards a sustainable future. Follow this link to read more about us.
Working at the Soil Association, you will have more than a job – you will be part of an organic community and part of our growing good food movement.
What can I do?
There are two parts to the Soil Association: there’s the charity, and then its wholly owned not for profit business – Soil Association Certification. This means we have a number of diverse and interesting roles.
We employ people in areas such as fundraising, communications, policy, project delivery, inspection and certification, quality, customer service and business development. We also have a range of administrative and corporate services roles across the organisation.
Roles may be based in our Bristol or Edinburgh offices or in some instances are home/field based working alongside our partners, customers and beneficiaries.

While you’re here…
…we’ve got a small favour to ask. As a charity we rely on fundraising to do our vital work. We champion a world where people, farm animals and nature can thrive – and we’ve made huge steps forward working with farmers, growers and researchers to find pioneering and practical solutions to today’s farming challenges. But there’s so much more to be done.
You can help change the way we farm and eat for good. If everyone who visits our website and cares about the food they eat and how it’s been produced, makes a small contribution today, we can do more of the work that really matters.
